Orange Salad(grandma's recipe)

Frozen juice concentrate |

For Topping

Cream Cheese (softened) |
4 oz. |
Whipped topping |
3 Tbsp |
Liquid jello mixture |
Instructions:

Boil 3/4 cup water in pan, remove from heat and stir in jello until dissolved.

Put ice cubes in measuring cup. Add concentrate, cold water, or other juice to total one cup. Add to hot jello mixture and stir until ice is melted.

Take out 3 Tbsp mixture and set aside for topping. Do not put in a cold place, you want it to stay liquid.

Put remaining jello in bowl or casserole dish and refrigerate. If adding topping, let set only until "sticky".

Soften cream cheese and whip until creamy.

Gradually add reserved liquid jello until smooth.

Fold in whipped topping and spread on top of jello.

Hint: If jello is hard set, topping will not stick. I have warmed it with a hair dryer or warm spatula.
